Our Story

Our journey began in January 1995 as a Church Plant from Birmingham Vineyard. Sutton Coldfield Vineyard met in a number of venues including schools, hotels, community centres & even the Odeon Cinema! The Church started a building fund to work towards putting down more permanent roots in our local community and in Summer 2011 we successfully purchased the former Brethren meeting room at 480 Chester Road at an auction in London.

The premises were fully purchased with cash funds raised by members. The auctioneer commented to a packed auction room on the day that the building should be filled with 'faith, hope and love'!

The redeveloped premises were completed in November 2013 and the 'Living Well Centre' was officially opened on 10th January 2014 with guest speakers John & Ele Mumford (former Directors of Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland). The Church re-launched with its new identity as 'North Birmingham Vineyard' reflecting a significant change in emphasis to serve communities across the wider North Birmingham area.

We believe that the church should be a friendly, inclusive place, accepting of all people. Our vision is to be a place where people can encounter Jesus and be enabled to do life well. We look to celebrate life and grow together in a real and honest way.
